40-Hour Basic Mediation Training
January 11-15, 2027

This class is being offered online, via Zoom. 

This intensive five-day program is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to mediate a variety of everyday disputes. This course emphasizes the importance of practical experience in becoming an effective mediator. During frequent role-plays, each participant will mediate a variety of disputes with expert feedback.

This course is designed to satisfy the 40 classroom hours of training required to mediate court-referred disputes as indicated in the Texas Alternative Dispute Resolution Act § 154.052, Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code Ann. This course also meets the training standards of the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association and Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.

Course Requirements: Participants must agree to the following requirements at checkout:

• Participants must attend the full 40-hour training and be on camera and fully engaged the entire time.
• Participants must use either a laptop or desktop with a working camera and microphone (Cell phones and tablets do not have the required Zoom functionality and are not permitted).
• Participants may not record the training, except for a limited time on Friday.

IMPORTANT: Make-up time is not permitted. Make sure your schedule allows you to attend the entire time. Your Certificate of Completion will reflect only the hours you attend.
