Workshop Overview
:
Kansas Farm Bureau is partnering with the Center for Business and Talent Development (CBTD) at Pittsburg State University to host a joint workshop in Pittsburg. Our goal is to bring together local business owners and community members for a high-value learning experience that supports business development and increased participation in registered apprenticeship.
Learning Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
·Identify how Registered Apprenticeship (RA) works in Kansas
· Explain how RA supports workforce development in rural and agricultural communities
· Recognize how a RA can be a fit for small businesses, farms, and rural employers who want structured training without union involvement
· See the role of intermediaries with a focus on the Rural Kansas Apprenticeship Program (RKAP) and how they simplify the process for employers.
